The National hispanic Education Alliance will unite the nation’s leading Hispanic organizations, academics and education policy researchers in one common goal: improvement of the educational outcomes among the ever growing number of Hispanic youth in our nation’s schools.
Among its intitiatives, the alliance would:
- Coalesce data and information of practical import to education advocates, practitioners, and administrators, focusing on informative pedagogical research findings and inventories of best practices that support Latino educational success;
- Mobilize timely training and technical assistance to interested school authorities and communities in need of policy and practical support, where Latino school age populations are outpacing local response capacities; and
- Frame policy ideas and concepts to encourage more informed public debate, stimulate leadership action on the issues, and expand awareness of the likely impact to individuals, families and communities.
